Description: The TLM-103 is the latest large diaphragm microphone from Neumann.
It uses a cardioid-only capsule derived from that used in the
U87. The frequency response differs from the U87 with a broad
4db presence peak from about 5KHz to 15KHz. The microphone uses
a transformerless output.
Applications: Since it's only recently that I got this microphone, I haven't
had the chance to give it a real workout yet. So far, it really
does sound great with a very articulated and smooth top end, a
more open sounding midrange compared to a U87 and nice focused
bottom end. More to come on this one.
